Stara Architects is an architectural studio founded in 2016 by Ar. Jasna Jamil. Our principles in action are bound on strong proponents of tropical tradition and its transition to contemporary design. ‘Stara’ believes in design as a process. We research into creating a built environment that is adaptive and contextual. We see architecture as a language that speaks of the place. Our creative, yet critical design approach recognizes the inherent complexity in modern day building and harnesses this complexity to produce projects that are culturally robust, place sensitive and environment friendly.
Stara’s design team brings expertise in various disciplines from Architecture and Interior design to Master planning, Landscape design and Construction Supervision. Our key strength is delivering distinctive breakthrough designs within the stipulated time frame. We specialize in residential and commercial living designs which are about creating high performance spaces that promote human and ecological well being at every level.
As the Managing Director, Ar. Jasna Jamil oversees and provides strategic guidance and leadership to ‘Stara architects’. With her extensive knowledge, expertise, and experience in all aspects of Development & Design Management, she has led a multitude of organizations to succeed in the field of Design and Fit out Management over the past 10 years in the Middle East.
Jasna has exceptional designing capabilities with a design approach based on traditional tranquility and spatial continuity. She is a highly motivated and results-oriented professional with a comprehensive knowledge about the industry and exposure to a wide variety of projects and international design practices. She is a responsible decision maker with exceptional administration talents and leadership and team management skills. Moreover, she is vibrant and approachable to work with, and lead teams.
Prior to the establishment of STARA, she held the post of Design Manager with Red cube interiors and building contracting LLC, Dubai playing a major role in the achievement of the company’s strategic initiatives including regional and international project expansions.
Her passion for Architecture began early where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Measi Academy of architecture, Anna University Chennai .
